There is, somewhere, a support group for folks whose names are celebrity monikers. The idea is that people in that situation — “Hi, I’m Stephen King.” “Oh, give me a break.” — should be able to find solace and understanding among folks who suffer the same coincidental affliction.
I read about this organization a few years back and can’t find a trace of it anywhere on the Internet. (If you can send me a link, please do.) I so recall that, within the larger group are sub-groups — the George Bush group, the Michael Jackson group, the Charles Manson group, and of course, the Stephen King group.
A famous name might be just a nuisance for some, but for aspiring novelists, hoping to build platforms and brands, it’s more than that.
How about you? Was your name taken before you had a chance to publish? In other words, were you famous for the wrong reasons before you even came to bat? Let’s hear from you.

i love my name i am a 3d artist!!!!!
I love my name and I believe it has been a source of my determination to be known to the public.
Heck, who can have a name like ‘Cher’ and not be destined for greatness, lol.
With my added last name, and with the year in place, my name hasn’t been an issue for quite a while. But there are still fans out there that recognize the name.
