Day 15 – Schedule a Victory Party

And send out invitations. Does this sound like I’m starting at the wrong end? I don’t think so, and here’s why:

If you can pin the outcome down with a public commitment to your friends and family, you’re infinitely better positioned, morally, to power yourself through the swampy middle of the NaNoWriMo journey.

But…invitations? Isn’t that a hardball tactic?

Sure it is, but in weak moments, there’s nothing like a little peer pressure to stiffen your resolve. Whenever you feel like giving in this year, just think about all those friends you’ll have to disinvite from  your…VICTORY party.

I don’t know about you, but that’s an image that would make me get moving.
